Rumors of Black Sabbath’s demise have been greatly exaggerated. Sure, the band hasn’t put out an album since 1995’s Forbidden. And, yes, they haven’t toured since some reunion shows in 1999. But Ozzy Osbourne’s Black Sabbath isn’t ready to call it a day quite yet. 13 will be the heavy-metal band’s nineteenth album and features three-quarters of Black Sabbath’s original line up with Rage Against the Machine’s Brad Wilk, sitting in for original drummer Bill Ward.
The band has been working on the album since 2001, but were delayed by solo albums and, of course, reality television. The first two singles from the album – “God Is Dead?” and “End of the Beginning” –show that the band is still ready to rock, even though the legendarily wild frontman Ozzy is now 64 years old.
