Backstreet’s back all right. The ’90s boy band is putting out an album and embarking on a world tour to mark their 20th anniversary. All five original members — Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean and Kevin Richardson — have signed up for a ninth studio album, the first since 2009’s This Is Us.
Based on the first single, “Permanent Stain,” the Backstreet Boys have lost very little of their pop and pep over the last two decades. Judging by their dance moves on Good Morning America, fans who catch them in concert will be in for a trip down memory lane.
