Opens Nov. 8
Clifford Odets’ famed Depression-era drama is rarely revived, and maybe with good reason. The story about a young man torn between boxing and a concert violin career sounds awfully dated and remote. (Concert violins? Boxing?) But give credit to Lincoln Center, and director Bartlett Sher, for unearthing it for a fresh look, in a new production featuring Broadway vets Danny Burstein, Tony Shalhoub and Jonathan Hadary.
