Opens Oct. 13
What, again? Edward Albee’s excoriating marital smackdown was last seen on Broadway just seven years ago. But that revival, co-starring Bill Irwin and Kathleen Turner, left a bad taste in my mouth, so I’m looking forward to this revival, staged last year to much acclaim at Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theater. It co-stars Tracy Letts and Amy Morton (the playwright and star, respectively, of August: Osage County) and will open exactly 50 years to the day after Albee’s play opened originally in 1962.
