Pass the Towel: 10 Best Movie Bath/Shower Scenes

Sure, it turns out to be a dream, but the scene in which U.S. Marshall Karen Sisco climbs into a bath tub—fully clothed and still in heels—with career criminal Jack Foley still radiates a right combination of heat and sophistication. Much of that attributable, of course, to the considerable appeal of the movie’s two stars.

Besides turning in terrific performances, Jennifer Lopez (never better) and George Clooney shared a unmistakable chemistry—and a terrific understanding of their wonderful Elmore Leonard-created characters. Credit also director Steven Soderbergh. After presenting Jack and Karen first meeting in the trunk of a car—perhaps the finest seduction scene of last 30 years—Soderbergh lights the bathtub scene (a product of Karen’s active subconscious) with a similar warm red glow.
