On the one hand, kudos to Pepsi for essentially getting a commercial for The X Factor in the middle of NBC’s Super Bowl. On the other hand, this is one of those celeb-laden spots — Elton John, Flavor Flav and X Factor’s Melanie Amaro — that seems to think signing up a bunch of famous names is a substitute for a funny concept.
