Genre: Stealth-Platform
Representing a once thriving but now sadly diminished game genre, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time may well be 2012’s only run-and-jump platformer featuring characters not related to Mario. Picking up where he left off at the end of Honor Among Thieves — released seven long years ago — raccoon-robber Sly Cooper recruits some old pals (including mainstays Bentley and Murray) to aid him in his never-ending (?) quest to recover the Thievius Raccoonus, an ancient tome from which Sly gets his legendary larcenous skills. Among the new powers given to Sly in this game are a set of discoverable outfits, each giving Sly a different set of abilities (like a suit of armor) that can redirect blows back to his attackers. Raccoon, do not disappoint us.
