Vanessa Taylor, who has penned episodes of Alias and Game of Thrones, co-wrote the screenplay for the book-to-movie adaptation of the hit young adult series Divergent. The spring release stars Shailene Woodley (The Descendants and The Secret Life of the American Teenager) as a teenager living in a dystopian future where everyone is sorted into four groups based on their primary abilities — except for those who are “divergent.” Considering that movies with strong female roles made more money in 2013, Divergent is almost assuredly going to be a hit.
