Gillian Flynn penned both the New York Times bestseller and the screenplay for Gone Girl, which will premiere in October to much fanfare. The David Fincher-directed film follows the mystery of a woman’s disappearance on her fifth wedding anniversary. To say anything else of the plot would be to give too much away. Rosamund Pike and Ben Affleck will take on the roles of missing wife and suspicious husband.
