Writers introduced Banner’s cousin Jennifer Walters, the She-Hulk, in a title of her own in the 1970s. Banner her a transfusion of his blood—when she later suffered stress, she transformed into the She-Hulk. Unlike her cousin, she maintained her intellect and personality, although her inhibitions were lowered. Marvel almost made a She-Hulk movie in the late 1980s starring Brigitte Nielsen. Publicity shots were taken, but Marvel shut down the project when they couldn’t raise proper financing.
