Though she appeared in more than a dozen films, Terry is only remembered today for her role in The Wizard of Oz. And rightly so. As Toto, Dorothy’s tiny companion, she is mentioned by name in one of the most famous movie quotes of all time (“Toto, I’ve a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore”). The Cairn Terrier had to be replaced for two weeks after an actor stepped on her and broke her foot.
