Diabate, born into a griot dynasty that can trace its origins back 71 generations, has a resume that spans over 25 years and includes collaborations with flamenco, jazz, and rock musicians. His collaborations with Malian musical legend Ali Farka Touré garnerd him two Grammy Awards. His kora skills are legendary in their ability to create light, danceable harmonies, and melodies all at the same time.
