This might go without saying, but in order to have a good first day of school you have to, you know, be there. Preferably on time.
Take a lesson from Back to the Future and don’t trust an alarm clock set by a mad scientist to get you up in time for the first day. Or learn from Gilmore Girls and, similarly, don’t trust a novelty alarm clock. You’ll want a sturdy, reliable, normal alarm clock (or a sturdy reliable parent, unlike Lorelai Gilmore) and maybe a back-up, so you can get your look together, get a healthy breakfast and get to school before the bell rings.
