As if Dennis Rodman’s friendship with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un hadn’t received enough media attention, 2oth Century Fox has reportedly bought the rights to a comedy about his time in the Hermit Kingdom.
The Diplomats is set to be directed by Tim Story, who recently shot Ride Along starring Ice Cube, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The Worm’s latest trip to North Korea was marred with controversy after he sang happy birthday to young despot Kim, and drunkenly scolded a CNN anchor during an interview in which he seemed to defend the imprisonment of American missionary Kenneth Bae.
Rodman, 52, recently exited a rehab program after spending three weeks at a New Jersey-based facility. However, the hall of fame player said his treatment was more about decompressing rather than giving up booze, according to the AP.
