MSNBC temporarily suspended Alec Baldwin’s late-night show after the actor was filmed using a homophobic slur during a run-in Thursday with a photographer.
Baldwin testified this week against actress Genevieve Sabourin, who was sentenced to six months in jail for stalking the actor over a two-year period. During a media scrum, Baldwin also called one reporter “dumb,” Variety reports.
The late show host issued an apology on MSNBC’s website, writing that he was trying to protect his family and, “Behavior like this undermines hard-fought rights that I vigorously support. I understand ‘Up Late’ will be taken off the schedule for tonight and next week.”
