Justin Bieber has put his foot in it again. His left foot, to be precise.
The Canadian pop star has apologized to fans in Argentina after he apparently swept the country’s flag off the stage — first with his foot, and then his microphone stand — during a concert in Buenos Aires last weekend.
In a series of tweets, Bieber said he thought the item was a shirt. “I’m so sorry for anyone who took my actions the wrong way and I hope you can forgive this mistake,” he said.

The apology came after angry Argentinian fans on Twitter flamed the singer. A video of the incident on YouTube has garnered more than 2 million views.
The 19-year-old is known for his controversial antics. Earlier this month, police in Brazil charged him for illegally spraying graffiti in Rio de Janeiro. In Argentina, the penalty for desecrating the national flag is one to four years in prison.
