The song that would bring the Rolling Stones (pictured in 1965) to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in July 1965 is still one of their best-known hits ever: “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.” The song has been covered many times and is in the registry of the Library of Congress National Recording Preservation Board. According to ABC News, the song was influenced by Bob Dylan’s “Subterranean Homesick Blues” and was written by Mick Jagger, based on a Keith Richards riff, in a hotel pool in Clearwater, Fla.
