By the mid-fifties, Jack Robinson began shooting for titles such as LIFE and the New York Times Magazine, where he worked closely with style editor Carrie Donovan. When Carrie left the Times in 1965 for Vogue she took Jack with her. This photo of Tina Turner was shot in New York on November 25, 1969 while she was touring with The Rolling Stones.
