Of Rage Against the Machine’s many outbursts over the years, this one might be one of their best. Tired of getting slammed over their lyrics by the Parents Music Resource Center, they lashed out during 1993’s Lollapalooza in Philadelphia. Instead of performing, they took the stage buck naked, mouths covered in duct tape and bodies painted with the organization’s acronym, PMRC. It didn’t do much to appease angry advocacy groups. But Rage, at least, made it up to their fans by playing a proper set later in the fest.
