So Microsoft has a new operating system to launch. It wants your attention. It wants to reach the young people, who like the Family Guy, which is on the television machine. So Microsoft hired Family Guy’s creator Seth MacFarlane to produce a comedy variety special on Fox sponsored solely by the new Windows 7. Then Microsoft watched the special, which was full of jokes about the Holocaust, incest and the handicapped. You know, like Family Guy is. So Microsoft pulled out of the broadcast.
The show is still scheduled to air Nov. 8, and Fox is looking for another sponsor. Meanwhile, I hope the executive who took ten years to discover that Family Guy is offensive is not in charge of debugging Windows 7.
