American Idol: The Final Ten

It was “soul and R&B night” on Idol last night, which brought Usher on to mentor — and to spend several minutes selling his new album with Ryan Seacrest. Did he work some of that Justin Bieber magic with the final ten?

Casey, Crystal, and Lee really dominated last night – proving they have what it takes to get to the end. Michael underwhelmed…and I totally disagreed with the judges’ take on Andrew Garcia. Who’s going home tomorrow?

I thought Siobhan’s song was a disaster, screechy and totally off pitch. I was meh about Casey James – a decent performance but an easy song, and he didn’t really do anything new with it. I was pretty impressed with Michael, and was taking him seriously for about the first time. Didi didn’t do great but I still really like her. Crystal was awesome, Lee was pretty good. I liked Andrew better this week than I have in any previous week except for his Straight-Up-Hollywood week.

Tim and Katie should go home next.
    Then Aaron and Andrew
    Then Didi, Casey, Michael, Siobhan
Leaving Lee and Crystal in the final 2.
