Kelis is getting ready to serve up FOOD, her forthcoming album, due April 22 — and the singer’s latest effort “Rumble” has just surfaced. Much like lead single “Jerk Ribs,” the track’s raw, slow-burning R&B vibe will definitely have fans coming back for seconds.
Kelis’ much-anticipated sixth LP pairs the “Milkshake” singer with TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek, who has produced albums for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Foals and the Liars. The team-up seems to be working, too: Kelis describes the album as “a kind of unspoken loveliest.” But if the album is as strong as the first two singles, it’s likely that lovefest won’t be unspoken for much longer.
