Gravity is one of those movies you should really see in theaters: the visual effects, the 3D, the epic Odyssey all belong on a big screen. If you missed the flick the first time, you still have a chance to float through space with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. Warner Bros. will re-release Alfonso Cuaron’s Gravity nationwide on Jan. 17, the day after the Oscar nominations are announced.
Gravity already hauled in $670 million in the worldwide box office last year after its October debut and should capitalize on awards momentum in its second run.
12 Years a Slave, another Oscar frontrunner, will also return to theaters on Jan. 17, Fox Searchlight announced in December.
