A rap battle between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, Psy’s kooky dancing and a Justin Bieber pool party all feature among the videos nominated for YouTube’s first-ever Music Awards.
Fans can vote for their favorite catchy clips across six categories, including video and artist of the year, top fan remix or parody video, and best breakthrough artist, YouTube announced on Monday.
Eminem, Lady Gaga, Arcade Fire and M.I.A. are on the list of performers that the video-sharing site has bagged to appear at the Nov. 3 awards show, which will be held in New York and — naturally — streamed online.
Those still recovering from Miley Cyrus’ Twerkgate at the recent MTV awards will be glad to know that the cheeky singer is not set to appear at the YouTube event (but if you really must, you can still vote for her video We Can’t Stop on YouTube’s official awards page).
