Chris Hemsworth has a full slate of sequels coming up—The Avengers 2, Snow White and the Huntsman 2—but he’s starting off the set with the follow-up to 2011’s Thor, the big role that helped make the Australian actor a star. (The one role he’s not reprising is Captain Kirk’s father in the new Star Trek movie, and that’s only because he’s, well, dead.)
Thor: The Dark World reunites Marvel fans with the hammer-wielding hero and his lady friend Jane (Natalie Portman). Also returning is Loki (Tom Hiddleston), who gets the big reveal at the end of the trailer when Thor asks for his help to defeat the villain Malekith (Christopher Eccleston).
Skip to 1:08 if you just want to see some hammer-smashing action.
Thor: The Dark World is in theaters Nov. 8, 2013.
