Reality TV star Bethenny Frankel said she’s happy her talk show got the axe — just weeks after it was announced that the former Real Housewives of New York star’s freshman talker would not return for a second season.
In an open letter to her fans, Frankel said she enjoyed aspects of the show, but that she felt restricted by the format.
“I felt a bit diluted, filtered and somewhat constricted,” Frankel, 43, says. “I am a free spirit. My late father (a horse trainer) used to say, ‘She is a mustang. You need to let her run.'”
Frankel’s show, Bethenny, was launched in the fall of 2013 and was plagued by mediocre ratings and negative feedback from critics.
