Get your umbrellas out! Another weather monstrosity is headed for America — and it’s not the polar vortex. It’s Sharknado 2: The Second One.
The Syfy Channel revealed Thursday that the flick, which airs in July, will star Vivica A. Fox and Mark McGrath, along with survivors of the first Sharknado, Tara Reid and Ian Ziering. Kelly Osbourne, Judd Hirsch, Andy Dick and Judah Friedlander will also make brief appearances.
If The Second One is anything like the first one (which we expect it will be), it’s going to get ugly.
For those of you that missed the original Sharknado, it’s essentially a system of twisters that picked up man-eating sharks from the Pacific Ocean and dumped them on unsuspecting victims in Los Angeles. Despite its awful CGI and mind-numbing dialogue (not to mention plot), its premiere on Syfy channel last summer caused quite a stir on Twitter:
This time, Sharknado is bound for New York City, and Syfy promises it will wreak havoc on the Big Apple’s “most cherished, iconic sites.”
Sharknado 2 is set to begin production next week.
