Sandra Bullock Sweeps People’s Choice Awards

The 'Gravity' star took home four awards and was the evening's top winner

Sandra Bullock was the top winner at the 40th People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday night, taking home four trophies for two of her films.

Bullock won favorite movie actress, comedic actress, and dramatic actress awards, and along with her Gravity co-star George Clooney was named favorite movie duo. Bullock’s movies fared pretty well also, as The Heat, her buddy comedy with Melissa McCarthy, was named favorite comedic movie.

Other big winners were Iron Man 3, which snagged three awards: favorite movie, best action movie and favorite action movie star for Robert Downey Jr. Justin Timberlake took home three awards, including favorite album for The 20/20 Experience.

Comedian Ellen DeGeneres was picked as favorite daytime TV host, her 14th people’s choice awards which, according to the Associated Press, is a record. “As a young girl growing up in New Orleans, if anyone would have told me I was going to win 14 People’s Choice Awards I… I mean 12, yes. 13, maybe. But 14?” DeGeneres joked in her acceptance speech.
