The Swedish publisher Norstedts has announced that author David Lagercrantz will write a sequel to the best-selling trilogy The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, which has sold more than 73 million copies worldwide.
Stieg Larsson, who wrote the first three books, was reportedly well underway with a fourth when he passed away in 2004, but that manuscript is in a deadlock due to a dispute between Larsson’s partner, family and Norstedts.
Lagercrantz has previously ghostwritten the acclaimed autobiography of Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic. His sequel is slated for an August 2015 publication.
