Nirvana, Kiss Join Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame

Eight honorees will be inducted into the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame in April

Twenty-two years after Nirvana launched grunge into the mainstream with “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” the band is being inducted into the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame.

The Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame and Museum announced on Tuesday that Nirvana will be inducted into the class of 2014, along with Kiss, Hall and Oates, Cat Stevens, Linda Ronstadt and Peter Gabriel. The E Street Band, Bruce Springsteen’s decades-long backup band, will receive a special award for musical excellence. The induction ceremony will take place at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn on April 10. Here’s a look at the inductees:
