The first teaser for Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated sci-fi Interstellar is out.
The nearly 2-minute trailer features visuals from the history of the U.S. space program, while being narrated by Matthew McConaughey, who says, “Perhaps we’ve just forgotten that we are still pioneers, that we’ve barely begun, and that our greatest accomplishments cannot be behind us, because our destiny lies above us.”
The movie’s plot is billed on IMDB as “A group of explorers make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.”
Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Ellen Burstyn, Michael Caine, John Lithgow, Casey Affleck and Topher Grace are among the star-studded cast.
In a rare industry move, both Paramount and Warner Bros have partnered for co-production and joint distribution.
The movie is due out Nov. 7, 2014.
