Apparently, Inside Llewyn Davis — which was just nominated for a best picture Golden Globe in the comedy/musical category — just couldn’t fit all the folk music in just one movie. Though the Coen brothers film is chock full of performances of folk-music classics, it has also inspired a concert film, Another Day/Another Time: Celebrating the Music of ‘Inside Llewyn Davis,’ which was filmed at a Sept. 2013 concert produced by T. Bone Burnett and airs tonight on Showtime.
The concert doc features performances of music from the movie and/or the 1960s, from music luminaries like Joan Baez, Gillian Welch and Jack White. And, as seen in this exclusive preview clip, the Avett Brothers, who perform the song “That’s How I Got to Memphis.”
