As if December wasn’t jam-packed with movies as it is, Sony has released a new trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which Spidey-fans are sure to be watching on repeat for clues about next year’s release.
The two-and-a-half minute clip reveals that Peter Parker (played by Andrew Garfield, reprising his role from 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man) — along with girlfriend Gwen Stacy (played by Emma Stone) — is now facing a whole new crop of villains, including Jamie Foxx’s Electro. Directed by Marc Webb, the film also stars Dane DeHaan, Paul Giamatti, Denis Leary and Sally Field.
The film hits theaters on May 2, 2014.
