Another day, another cast update for Fifty Shades of Grey.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, British pop singer Rita Ora has joined the cast of the film adaptation of the sexy bestseller, which is currently filming in Vancouver. Ora, who is a British-tabloid staple, will be playing the adopted sister of Christian Grey, played by Jamie Dornan. The character is apparently new to the film, as Mia didn’t exist in EL James’ book, which the movie is based on.
Though Ora is mostly known for her singing career, she has acting credits to her name as well with on-screen appearances in 2004’s Spivs and 2013’s Fast & Furious 6. There’s no word yet on how large her role in Fifty Shades will be. The film, which is being directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, also stars Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele, the naive college student who falls in love with Grey, a young billionaire with a predilection for S&M. The role of Grey was originally given to actor Charlie Hunnam, but he dropped out before filming began. The role then went to Dornan.
The film is slated to hit theaters on Feb. 13, 2015.
