R. Kelly has been making a few publicity stops in advance of releasing his evocatively titled 12th solo album, Black Panties, on December 10th. The folks at Rolling Stone decided to make the most of their minutes with the R & B star and asked Kellz to show off his talent for making a sexy song about the least sultry subjects. See for example, his songs “Sex Weed,” or the particularly un-seductive sounding “Snake.”
“I know how to put it into a melody and make it comical, but sexual at the same time,” the R&B star told Rolling Stone. “With my gift, I can pretty much write a song out of anything.” Rolling Stone put that to the test. They gave the singer three unrelated and un-erotic phrases — dolphins, hockey and Italian hero sandwiches — and sat back while Kellz performed his magic. While Kelly told Rolling Stone that, “If I had a track, if I was in the studio, man, I’d blow your mind with it,” we think even David Blaine would be impressed with the trick he pulled off.
