After breezing through his re-election campaign to win another term as New Jersey’s governor this week, Chris Christie appeared on the NBC sitcom “The Michael J. Fox Show” Thursday night — supposedly to make a special announcement.

Fox’s talk-show character, Mike Henry, interviewed the governor but fell asleep just before Christie was to let the cat out of the bag. After waking up, Henry moved to a different topic, thwarting Christie’s attempt to make his highly anticipated declaration.

The skit poked fun at the enormous amount of speculation coming from political analysts (and real-life talk show hosts) about whether the governor will decide to run in the 2016 Republican presidential primary.
