Netflix has reached an agreement with Disney to create four original live-action TV series based on Marvel comic characters to begin airing in 2015, the two companies announced Thursday.
Under the agreement, which a joint news released called “unparalleled in scope and size,” Netflix has committed to a minimum of four separate series of thirteen episodes each to unfold over several years.
The shows will be based on “Daredevil,” followed by “Jessica Jones, “Iron Fist,” and finally “Luke Cage.”
