The much anticipated return of the Channel 4 News team is almost here, and if the new full-length trailer is any indication, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues will be as gag-packed and mildly offensive as the original.
The film, directed by Adam McKay, sees the return of Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner and Steve Carell as the goofy news team, who must now try to adapt to not only the 1980s, but also New York City and the 24-hour cable news cycle. In addition to the old favorites, the film also features appearances by the likes of Jim Carrey, Kanye West, Sacha Baron Cohen, Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman and Harrison Ford. Sadly, Kristen Wiig, who is a very welcome addition to the cast, is largely absent from the trailer.
Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is due in theaters on Dec. 20.
