Film fans had better gear up for a Tour de Lance, as Deadline confirms that indie-darling Ben Foster will be playing Lance Armstrong in one of several upcoming films about the disgraced cyclist. Foster will star in a yet-to-be-titled film based on the book Seven Deadly Sins: My Pursuit of Lance Armstrong by Irish sports journalist David Walsh. The project will be directed by Stephen Frears, whose past work includes The Queen and, more recently, Philomena. Irish actor Chris O’Dowd will be stepping into the role of Walsh, and Guillaume Canet and Jesse Plemons of Breaking Bad fame will have supporting roles.

The film is slated to start filming on October 18, and joins the roster of new and upcoming Armstrong films, including a documentary, The Armstrong Lie, from director Alex Gibney, and a Bradley Cooper-led film called Red Blooded American.
