Anyone watching last night’s Dancing With the Stars who might’ve watched Saved by the Bell on Nov. 3, 1990, when the episode “Jessie’s Song” aired—or on any of that episode’s innumerable rerun occasions—probably knew what was up from the very first shot. There’s Elizabeth Berkley (now Elizabeth Berkley Lauren) sitting in a bedroom, wearing a giant head bow and legwarmers, holding a bottle of pills. For her turn at the jive, she and partner Val Chmerkovskiy paid tribute to what persists as probably the most famous episode of SbtB ever, the one where Jessie gets hooked on caffeine pills and utters the famous line “I’m so excited! I’m so…scared!”

Fans of both shows can only hope that this augurs the return of Hot Sundae and Zack Attack to pop culture. After all, the judges might have liked Elizabeth and Val’s dance a little more if it had involved sitting on stools at The Max. In the mean time, enjoy the original:
