Breaking Bad’s Final Scene Boosts Sales for 1970’s Band Badfinger

Sales of the song played during the final scene of the series have jumped 2,981 percent since Sunday

Breaking Bad‘s influence is unstoppable and now extends to the music industry. The 1972 hit “Baby Blue” by British pop band Badfinger spiked 2,981 percent in sales since it was featured in the final scene of the show’s finale Sunday night. The song has also seen a 9000 percent increase in streaming on Spotify, according to Entertainment Weekly

The sales data comes from Nielsen SoundScan, which began including online downloads in its figures in July.
