Rihanna’s weekend jaunt to a beach in Thailand led to a pair of arrests because of some social media postings from the pop star.

The singer posed for photos with some local wildlife will visiting the island of Phuket on a break from her world tour. She tweeted a link to an Instagram photo showing her posing with a primate called the slow loris, an animal native to Southeast Asia and listed as a protected species, according to the Associated Press.

Because of that, a Phuket official told the AP, police arrested two men – a 20-year-old and a 16-year-old – who they say “brought out the loris as a photo opportunity for tourists.”

The men could face up to four years in prison and a 40,000 baht ($1,300) fine.

A local official told the AP the problem of wildlife exploitation has continued there for years and that tourists who pay to pose for pictures with animals exacerbate the problem.
