Miley Cyrus can’t seem to get out of the spotlight—and she’s happy to be there.
MTV released the trailer for its upcoming documentary: “Miley: The Movement.” The former Disney Channel star, whose raunchy VMAs performance last month didn’t sit well with everyone, says in the clip that she’s just getting started.
“I have this freedom to do whatever I want, because I’m starting as a new artist now,” Cyrus says.
The trailer shows Cyrus brainstorming plans for the VMAs with fellow star Britney Spears (“Everyone takes the VMAs so seriously,” she says), and in an interview Cyrus explains her approach.
“You’re always going to make people talk,” she says. “You might as well make them talk for two weeks, rather than two seconds.”
The film airs Oct. 2.
