Some people just love Twilight. Even Middle Eastern princes.

In fact, an unnamed prince reportedly loves the movie series so much—and especially its star, Kristen Stewart—that he paid $500,000 (yup, that’s a half million dollars) to spend  15 minutes with the 23-year-old actress at the cozy Manhattan retreat known as Madison Square Garden.

As reported by the New York Times after a conversation with Harvey Weinstein during the Toronto Film Festival, the famously feisty studio exec brokered the December 2012 deal in which the prince made a donation to Hurricane Sandy relief in exchange for a meeting with the actress. (That’s a lot of money to learn more about Bella Swan.)

That $500,000 figure works out to $2 million an hour — or, going the other way, more than $33,333 per minute and about $555 per second.

As for the how the transaction went down, the prince paid in cash. In advance. Madison Square Garden chairman James Dolan even had the stack of bills locked up for safekeeping. It is New York, after all.
