Robert Englund—the actor who would global fame playing Freddy Kreuger in the Nightmare on Elm Street films—read for the part of a character named Han Solo in strange movie called Star Wars. He didn’t get the role—the filmmakers thought he was too young. But his roommate at the time—a struggling young actor named Mark Hamill—apparently did a good job reading for the part of Luke Skywalker. And, yes, that’s Harrison Ford reading with Hamill—long before he was even considered to play the part of Han.
