E.B., from the 2011 hit Hop, is the only rabbit on this list who’s an actual Easter Bunny (note the initials). Not that he wants to be; as voiced by Russell Brand, E.B. would rather be a rock drummer than a distributor of candy and painted eggs. His dad (Hugh Laurie) has been grooming him to take over the family business, but one day, E.B. escapes from holiday HQ (on Easter Island, natch) and heads to Los Angeles to pursue his dream. There, he meets live-action layabout Fred (James Marsden), who, it turns out, does have an aptitude for handing out candy and hiding eggs.
In the end, everyone gets the job they’re suited for, though not before Brand’s trouble-prone hare wreaks havoc throughout Hollywood. For all his reputation of grown-up debauchery, Brand has no trouble making his variety of naughtiness safe and puerile enough for kids (for further evidence, watch him with Adam Sandler in Bedtime Stories). Still, the funniest line in the film belongs to David Hasselhoff, who explains why he’s not fazed to meet a talking, drumming rabbit: “My best friend is a talking car.”
