We weren’t sure it would ever happen, but our dear Liz Lemon is all grown up and settling down: fans of 30 Rock, which is now in its last season, found out on Nov. 15 that this week’s episode of the sitcom (called “Mazel Tov, Dummies!” and airing Nov. 29 at 8 p.m. Eastern) would feature the protagonist’s wedding. Liz will make an honest man of her beau Criss Chross. Those two kids—well, not quite kids: the invitation, shown here, makes a point that “She’s 42. Whatever. It’s no big whoop”—are going to be very happy.
But first they have to survive the wedding. And as any sitcom-viewer knows, that’s easier said than done, especially in a hijinks-friendly environment like 30 Rock. They can take comfort in knowing that some characters on half-hour television comedies have successfully tied the knot—and if they’re smart they’ll learn a little something from those other wacky weddings.
