This morning the TV personality announced in a press release that her annual interview special, Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2012, will air on Dec. 12 and unveiled some of the shortlist for the most-fascinating title, the winner of which will be announced on-air.

The ten luminaries featured will include:
- Fifty Shades of Grey author E.L. James
- New Jersey Governor Chris Christie
- Gymnast Gabby Douglas
- Actor/Director Ben Affleck
- Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
- Boyband One Direction
- Family Guy and Ted creator Seth MacFarlane
