The Buzz: While the band’s sixth album is inflected with dub step and electronica influences, Muse is a pop-infused stadium rock band through and through. The 2nd Law has the band delving deeper into their over-the-top sound, offering up rousing guitar solos and swelling choruses lurking inside slinky pop tunes. While the band thrives at their live shows, fans will be more then happy to put this album in heavy rotation.
Listen: “Madness” was called out by none other than Coldplay’s Chris Martin as the best Muse song ever. That’s good enough for us.
