Thanks to director Christopher Nolan, when we think of Batman in 2012, we think of a moody superhero and beautifully realized blockbusters. But back in the days of the 1960s TV show, the tone was far lighter. And that extended to the method of transportation used by the caped crusader. This Batmobile began life as a 1955 Lincoln Futura but went through various iterations before it ended up with the famous gloss black finish with "fluorescent cerise" stripes. Its estimated value in 1966 was roughly $125,000. Nowadays, that's about $2 million.
